Karlovy Vary Healing Springs and Mineral Water Therapy

The thermal spring water contains a mixture of forty-seven elements that have been proven to support health. Its healing properties have been known and sought after since the 16th century, and it continues to maintain its high quality to this day. The thermal water originates from a depth of approximately 2,500 meters and is divided into 81 springs, 15 of which are accessible to the public.

The individual springs vary in temperature, carbon dioxide content, and the amount of minerals. Thermal water is used to treat a wide range of conditions, including digestive issues, metabolic disorders, musculoskeletal diseases, and chronic inflammations. This unique mineral water also supports body regeneration and strengthens the immune system.

How to Properly Use the Drinking Cure

The drinking cure and baths in thermal water are the main components of the treatment. A properly set drinking cure can help alleviate health issues, strengthen the immune system, and treat inflammations in the body. The drinking cure is always individually tailored to the client’s needs.

The doctor will carefully evaluate your health condition, recommend the appropriate springs, and provide instructions for the correct procedure of the drinking cure. It is not advisable to experiment with different springs or consume thermal water without the doctor’s professional recommendation.

Typically, the drinking cure is performed three times a day before meals. Within 5–10 minutes, you should drink 220 ml of warm thermal water. This procedure should be done calmly, without interruption, and should be enjoyed in a relaxed manner. It is best to drink the water near the springs, where the concentration of positive ions is highest.

This adjusted treatment allows the body to absorb approximately 5–7 grams of minerals from the thermal water every day. The ideal duration of the drinking cure is three weeks.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Characteristics and effects:

Manual lymphatic drainage supports the flow of lymph to the lymph nodes, which is crucial for removing water, absorbed substances, and waste products from tissues. This system also plays a key role in immunity by filtering microorganisms and toxins through lymphocytes.

Indications: This procedure is suitable for:

  • Primary and secondary lymphedema (swelling after erysipelas, post-mastectomy conditions)
